The common bond of Marches Credit Union Ltd. was partly in England and partly in Wales, i.e., in eastern Powys.

The Welsh part includes the towns of Knighton and Presteigne and smaller places such as Beguildy, New Radnor and Painscastle. This part of the common bond of Marches thus overlapped with the common bond of Red Kite Credit Union.

Individuals who were members of Marches Credit Union and who reside in Wales can join Red Kite Credit Union. Others who reside in England are eligible only if they have a place of paid employment in Wales.

In addition to the information in the above documents, Red Kite Credit Union would like to suggest the Red Kite Credit Union credEcard prepaid debit card as a convenient way of handling your cash, especially if you were having benefits paid into Marches Credit Union. credEcard has the benefit of providing a free on-line bank account with UK Sort Code and account number enabling internet purchases to be made and Direct Debits to be set up. Additionally an 'emvelope' facility is available to assist in the payment of regular bills.
