may be able to help. Subject to certain eligibility conditions a Zero Interest Loan may be available to help with the purchase and installation of Solar Panels, Solar Heating and other forms of renewable energy devices.

 		 
 

To qualify you must own or be buying your home and be a member of or join a credit union.

The loan can be up to £5000 depending on the purpose.

Application must be made in the first instance to Powys County Council but if you send a message to Red Kite Credit Union we can forward it on to them, without prejudice.

 Before applying you should get a satisfactory quote from a MCS registered installer. (MCS is the Microgeneration Certification Scheme and Feed In Tariffs and ZILF loans are only available if a MCS registered installer is used.)

  
 

 
Associated Credit Union membership

  
 

If you are not already a credit union member you can join Red Kite Credit Union, subject to the usual eligibility criteria and we can refer you to Powys County Council or ROCBF. Your credit union membership will operate independently of any arrangement you make with ROCBF and your credit union shares are not in any way 'attached' by the ZILF loan (as they would be by a credit union loan) and can still qualify you for a separate credit union loan.

Otherwise your credit union membership application will be processed with the application for zero interest energy saving loan which will be assessed by the credit union on behalf of ROCBF.

ROCBF is associated with but separate from the Robert Owen Montgomeryshire Credit Union Ltd and its services are available throughout Powys.
