Red Kite Credit Union is part of the Powys Credit Unions Partnership which is working with Powys Local Health Board (PLHB) in a scheme whereby employees of PLHB can make payroll deduction payments directly to one of the four Powys credit unions.

The scheme is now operational.

Existing credit union members can join this scheme and non-members who are employed by PLHB can join one of the four credit unions via the scheme.

It is recommended that an employee who is not already a member of one of these credit unions should join one appropriate to their place of residence or if they live outside Powys should join one appropriate to their main place of work.

A relaxation of the normal conditions for a loan may apply if payroll deduction is to be used, including a reduced interest rate of 0.8% per month or 9.9% APR.

Leaflets with application form will be available in all main PLHB hospitals and other places of work.
